Manuscript Summary
This thin paper notebook contains two different texts, copied by the same hand, and both taken from the annals of the Collège de Porrentruy. The first recounts the transfer of Saint Pacifique to Porrentruy on 5 November 1679 and the miracles associated with his veneration, listed by year through 1753 (pp. 3-22). This saint, whose bones were taken from the Roman catacombs, owes his name to the establishment of the Treaty of Nijmegen in 1678-1679 (p. 7). The miracles that he performed primarily concerned children who had difficulty walking. The second text transmits excerpts from the annals of the College of Porrentruy between 1763 and 1771. Placed after many blank pages, it has been bound backwards (pp. 90-78). This quire constitutes the end of the two volumes of the Extraits des Annales de Porrentruy “depuis 1588 à 1771” (MP 4-1 and MP 4-2), copied by the same hand.
