| Manuscript Summary: | Manuscript Summary The first part of this volume (pp. 1-214) contains the income and expenditures of the territory of Appenzell from April 1591 to April 1597. These accounts are among the most important sources for researching the history of the region prior to its division. The second part (pp. 215-528) includes drafts of outgoing letters and copies of incoming ones from 1659 to 1687. Starting with p. 529, the pages have been torn and at most fragments remain. |
